The Village of Butt: Fourplay

Out in the West Texas Village of Butt, the town's namesake is having an existential crisis. After watching Johnny Starr and the Poosay Fartz jet off on their whirlwind tour, Buckington Butt III feels downright useless. Although he is the richest man in the country, and takes care of all his friends in the Village of Butt, just watching all his "sidekicks in shenanigans" heading out to pursue their dreams makes the billionaire consider finding a vocation of his own. But he never thought finding a productive way to occupy his time would include fishing his plastic cowboy hat from a deep fryer!

As Buckington struggles to find his footing in his search for his first ever job, Dick Hare realizes he has a penchant for Hare pie, Sue Baroo and Rhonda Voo find themselves as the Eau De Butt perfume pinups, Di Areea finds herself flush with dollars, Abe John (as Johnny Starr) brings his world tour back to Butt for a homecoming show the sleepy town won't soon forget, and the whole of Butt waits in breathless anticipation for El Smell to arrive: the world renowned matador is coming to America for the first time to battle the infamous bull, Culo (asno) Malo El Toro - the Bad Ass Bull. Follow along on the continuing adventures of the Butt Buddies in The Village of Butt: Fourplay!

The Village of Butt: Threesome

Since Dick Hare came to Butt, Texas, he's been happier than a pig in slop, and had adventures and experiences that he never could have imagined as a small town, Alaskan writer. Billy Bobby's making the Butt crew miserable, but Butt's namesake and billionaire benefactor, Buckington Butt III, has recently embarked on a path of personal betterment, and is determined to help Bawlz get back on his feet after a stint in a New Jersey prison.

The Village of Butt: Number Two

Finally settled in Butt, Texas, Dick Hare feels like he won the Powerball. He lives in a log mansion with one of the richest men in the world, Buckington Butt III, and, somehow, scored a girlfriend that would make even Brad Pitt envious. His many attempts at writing were often interrupted by the exciting world around him, the mischievous billionaire leading the colorful cast of characters on good times, fun, and frivolity. When Buckington’s friend and surrogate father, Cosmo, asks Dick to scout a singer in a nearby hole-in-the wall town, Dick is more than happy to oblige.

In the tiny burgh of Mudhole, Texas, Dick meets Abraham Moses John, a gentle giant with a voice and physique that’ll give Butt’s namesake and most popular resident a run for his money. Abe, however, can’t leave until his controlling mother gives her blessing... and it looks like that's going to be as easy as getting Buckington to join a monastery. As Abe said about Mama John, “She’s just a mean country mama. She makes me do things I don’t wanna.”

The capers, shenanigans, and adventures of Dick Hare continue in The Village of Butt: Number Two!

A Tale of Two Gimps: Such is Life

Joe "Duff" McBride's new book, A Tale of Two Gimps: "Such Is Life" tells the eye-opening and, at times, sidesplitting story of his misadventures as a self-titled "gimp" -- the result of a car accident as a teenage boy that left him physically disabled, but with his sense of humor fully intact. His witty perspective on life, especially the difficulties of his new situation, is shared and even amplified by his friendship with "Mouse," another teenage boy who finds himself in a similar predicament. When the two teens become acquainted at a rehabilitation hospital in Philadelphia, they are both also becoming acquainted with the tremendous challenges forced upon them by their spinal cord injuries. These problems are more than just the physical handicaps, but the emotional and psychological ones as well, as the two boys manage to keep the spirits of others high as well as their own. At the same time, they struggle daily with the kinds of basic activities that most people take for granted. Even though the book is intended to entertain the reader with unblinking honesty and biting humor, it also presents a remarkable account of two young men doing the best they can. A Tale of Two Gimps is a unique work, offering a glimpse into a world many can't imagine. It is sad, touching, hilarious, hopeful, disgusting, shocking, crude, and raw. Just like life. It shows how, for these two indomitable young men, "it was the worst of circumstances, and it was the best of circumstances."
